Jason — Starfall Studios
The Person Behind the Lens

Hey, I'm Jason.

Photographer · Videographer · Studio Owner

I built Starfall Studios because I believed Seattle needed a creative space that actually felt welcoming — for photographers renting time, musicians playing to a lens, models looking for a collaborative shoot, or creators who just need a great-looking background.

I handle the photo and video work personally. Every project I take on gets the same level of attention: careful, intentional, and built around what you actually need.

The Story

Why I Built Starfall

In 2021, I left a career in tech to chase something I couldn't quite name yet. I picked up a camera without really knowing how it worked and spent the next year figuring it out by doing — road trips, live events, new hobbies, anything that moved.

After years of setting up lights in my kitchen and tearing them down after every shoot, I hit a wall. I wanted a space where I could leave everything up and just keep working.

Starfall is that space — built for photographers and videographers who need a fully-loaded, highly customizable studio without the friction. Gear included, drink bar stocked, and someone knowledgeable on-site every session. We opened in March 2026 with Meet Me In The Pit — a giant clown-themed party with a balloon pit and over 2,000 balloons — and the energy that night is exactly what this place is supposed to feel like.

Behind the Lens

The Work I Love Most

I've shot everything from fire performers in warehouses to city council headshots in a studio. Weddings, comedy shows, aerial arts, corporate galas, product launches — if it involves people doing something they care about, I want to be there with a camera.

Before I picked up a camera, I spent five years writing software at Lockheed Martin and managing programs at Xbox. That background shows up in how I work — I plan shoots like projects, communicate like a teammate, and deliver like someone who's been on the other side of a deadline.

When I'm not behind the lens, I'm probably baking cookies for a studio client, hosting a community event, or figuring out new ways to make Starfall the kind of space I wish I'd had when I started.

How I Work

What You Can Expect

🎯

Intentional, Not Assembly-Line

Every shoot is built around what you actually need — not a template I run everyone through. I ask the right questions up front so your photos work for the thing they're supposed to work for.

Fast Without Cutting Corners

Five years in tech taught me how to deliver on a deadline. You'll get next-day social media selects for events and full galleries within 5 business days — edited, licensed, and ready to use.

I Show Up Like It's My Company

I spent years as a Program Manager at Xbox and a Software Developer at Lockheed Martin. I know what a corporate event needs, how a brand launch should feel, and what an executive headshot actually gets used for.

Whether you need headshots for your team, coverage for your next event, or content that makes your brand look like it belongs — I'd love to hear about it.
